We are the Village Creek Club Inc.....
We
began in August 1937 as a Mobil Oil Corporation Company social organization called the Flying
Red Horse Club that later became independent and re-named The Village Creek
Club. We have 30 acres with 21 camps owned individually by members, some are
for vacation homes and others are year-round residences. We have a board of
directors and manage the grounds, water systems, buildings, and roads. While
no hunting is permitted we have an abundance of wild birds, squirrels, deer,
raccoons, armadillos, and other wildlife. Fishing
includes bass, white perch, bream, sun-perch, and catfish. Swimming is
excellent most of the year during low water levels, exposing the many white
sandy beaches. The creek has a nice sandy bottom but is irregular so some
caution is advised when wading. Because of all we have, we decided to share it with you and
allow overnight, weekday & weekend rentals of the Retreat and allow the use
of our common grounds during your stay. We hope you enjoy it just as
much as we do!
